About Hummingbird Early Learning Centre
Located within the Kirk Centre, our program is rooted in connection, community, and belonging.We believe relationships are at the heart of early learning, and place importance on meaningful connections between children, educators, families, and the wider community around us. Through child-led learning, community exploration, inclusive programming, and regular experiences in nature, we encourage children to build confidence, develop their own ideas and opinions, and form a genuine connection to the world they are growing up in.

Infants
6 to 24 months
A warm and responsive environment where our youngest children are nurtured through connection, sensory exploration, and gentle routines.
Toddler
19 to 35 months
A playful and engaging space where toddlers are encouraged to explore, move, communicate, and build independence.
Jr. Preschool
2.5 to 4 years
A curiosity-driven classroom where children learn through play, creativity, hands-on experiences, and meaningful relationships.
Sr. Preschool
4 to 6 years
A collaborative learning environment that supports confidence, problem-solving, creativity, and school readiness through child-led exploration.
Kindergarten/OSC
Kindergarten to Grade 6
A welcoming space for school-aged children to unwind, connect with friends, pursue their interests, and engage in enriching experiences beyond the school day.
