We are Paulette and Laura, the Co-Program Supervisors of Hummingbird Early Learning Centre!
Prior to starting this daycare, we have worked together in daycare and dayhome settings since 2016.
Our extensive experience has fueled our passion for bringing freedom and joy into childcare environments. Encouraging children with a “yes”, “sure”, or even a “maybe” inspires them to push boundaries, think creatively, and explore the world around them.

As newcomers to Edmonton, we understand the challenges of building new support networks while adapting to a new climate, new rules… and roundabouts! Many of our families are new to Edmonton, as we once were, and our goal has been to alleviate their childcare concerns. But in doing so, we have had the privilege of meeting incredible people who have enriched our lives.
Throughout our careers as daycare and dayhome educators, we have prioritized listening to families’ needs and offering flexible care solutions. This commitment is why we continue to provide a range of care options, including drop-in, part-time, and full-time care.
We are excited to bring our enthusiasm and dedication to our new home in Dovercourt and look forward to getting to know our community better!
